I am proud to to endorse Joel Briscoe for House District 25. I have had the pleasure of working with Joel both at the City when Joel was the Chair of the East Central Community Council and at the Legislature where Joel is a tireless advocate for Utah’s children and teachers. From my 4 years as the Democratic leader in the House of Representatives, I know what it takes to be successful at the Utah Legislature and it is clear to me that Joel has those skills and will be a great representative for the citizens of Salt Lake City and all of District 25.
Joel will be great addition to our legislative team.
Joel’s knowledge and experience, especially related to education issues, would be very beneficial to our legislative body.
Joel Briscoe would be an outstanding legislator. Joel’s knowledge of educational issues and community concerns is exceptional. I support Joel in his bid for District 25
Hands down, Joel Briscoe is the most experienced community activist in the race for the District 25 nomination. He’s a former school board member, the current chair of his community council, and a leader in the fight to get power lines buried in our community. As a former State Representative, I know what it takes to serve effectively on Capitol Hill. Joel Briscoe has it in spades.
Joel has earned our support through many years of fighting for better education for our children and equal treatment for everyone. He has the courage of conviction and the experience and savvy to actually accomplish something in the Utah Legislature.
A lot of candidates tend to neglect the issues that are particularly relevant to younger members of the LGBTQ community. It is refreshing to see a candidate that is willing to challenge those around him and be a voice for an often voiceless community. I also appreciate the fact that you acknowledged that you are still learning and growing.
